Hypervolt 3 India: Price, Heated Head & Which to Buy
Quick answer: The Hyperice Hypervolt 3 massage gun is Hyperice's 2026 "everyday" model: a 12 mm stroke, 60 lb rated stall force, five speeds (1,500–2,500 percussions per minute), up to 4 hours of battery and, new for this generation, a Heated Head Attachment in the box. At WOD Armour it costs ₹24,999 at the time of writing (listed MRP ₹30,999). It's worth it if you want a quiet, long-lasting, full-size gun with heat for daily training recovery. Skip it if you want the deepest possible stroke (Theraguns are 16 mm) or a gun that charges by USB-C.
This India buyer's guide answers what people search about the Hypervolt 3: price, whether it's worth it, the heated head, the charger, and which Hypervolt or Theragun to buy instead. We use Hyperice's published specs, independent testing and owner feedback, not marketing copy. For a hands-on take from the gym floor, read our Gurgaon CrossFit coach's Hypervolt 3 review.

Is the Hypervolt 3 worth it? Pros and cons from independent testing
What it does well
- It holds up under pressure. In independent testing by Spanish review site La Casa Sibarita, the stroke measured exactly 12.0 mm and only stopped at 20.8 kg of pressure on a scale. That's below Hyperice's 60 lb (27 kg) rating but far more than you'd normally press, so it won't stall on quads and glutes.
- It's genuinely quiet. The same test measured 38.0–46.5 dB at one metre across the five speeds, under Hyperice's 48 dB claim, and 49.3 dB pressed on a thigh at top speed.
- Battery for weeks. They got 217 minutes from one charge in 10-minute sessions at medium speed, about three weeks of daily use.
- Heat included. The Heated Head comes in the box. On the Theragun side, heat starts with the pricier Prime Plus.
- Five heads. Flat for big muscles, Fork either side of the spine (never on it), Wedge for calves, Cushion for tender areas.
Where it falls short
- 12 mm, not 16 mm. The Theragun Prime's 16 mm stroke digs deeper. The same reviewer rated the Hypervolt 3 "high" depth on calves but only "medium-high" on the upper traps.
- No USB-C for the gun. You need its own 18 V charger, so pack it when you travel. Only the heated head charges by USB-C.
- Self-massage gets tiring. At about 944 g measured, the reviewer's wrist began to feel it working their own lower back.
- Heat is a comfort feature. The heated head feels good, but as RecoveryCalc's review of the Hypervolt 3 Pro (same heated head) points out, there's no good evidence that heat plus percussion beats percussion alone. Treat it as a bonus, not the reason to buy.
How hot does the Hypervolt 3 heated head get?
The Heated Head Attachment 3 has three heat levels from 109°F to 120°F (about 43–49°C), according to Hyperice's launch announcement. It has its own battery (up to 75 minutes on the highest level), charges by USB-C, weighs 91 g and fits the Hypervolt 3 line only. One owner on r/MassageGuns comparing the Hypervolt 3 Pro with a Theragun Prime Plus found Hyperice's heated head the hottest of the guns they tried, helped by its large surface area.
Does a massage gun actually help? What the research says
Modestly, and mostly for mobility. Short percussion bouts improved hamstring range by 11.4% in a 2023 study (Skinner et al.), and 5 minutes on the calves improved ankle range by 18.4% without reducing strength in a 2020 study (Konrad et al.). A 2023 systematic review found no gains in strength, jumping or agility, and a 2023 pain review was promising but based on limited-quality studies. Use it to loosen up before training and ease soreness after; it's not an injury treatment.

Hypervolt 3 vs Hypervolt 3 Pro
The Hypervolt 3 Pro adds 2 mm of stroke, 10 lb more stall force and a sixth speed, for ₹11,000 more and 200 g more weight. Heavy lifters and people treating others will feel the difference; for most people's own daily recovery, the Hypervolt 3 covers it. Our Hypervolt 3 vs Hypervolt 3 Pro guide goes deeper.
Hypervolt 3 vs Hypervolt Go 3
The Hypervolt Go 3 is lighter, charges by USB-C and costs ₹9,000 less, but has a 10 mm stroke, less force and only two heads, with no heat. Choose the Go 3 for travel and the gym bag, the Hypervolt 3 as your main gun at home. See our Hypervolt Go 3 review.
Hypervolt 3 vs Hypervolt 2 (and 2 Pro)
Hyperice says the Hypervolt 3 is more powerful than the Hypervolt 2, which had three speeds (per Fleet Feet's comparison). The older Hypervolt 2 Pro keeps a longer 14 mm stroke and a removable battery, but it's heavier, has no heat and costs more at the time of writing. Unless you want that 14 mm stroke, pick the Hypervolt 3.
Hypervolt 3 vs Theragun Prime
Nearly the same price. The Theragun Prime 6th Gen has the deeper 16 mm stroke, USB-C charging and a triangle grip that's easier for self-massage. The Hypervolt 3 has more stall force, five heads instead of two, a heated head and a longer battery. Pick the Prime for depth and grip; pick the Hypervolt 3 for features, heat and battery life.
How to use the Hypervolt 3
From Hyperice's operating instructions and safety instructions:
- Charge it fully first with the 18 V charger; the light band turns solid green when full.
- Turn it on by holding the power button for half a second, then turn the dial to pick speed 1–5. Change heads only when it has stopped.
- Keep it moving: press lightly and glide over each muscle for about 60 seconds per area. Ease off if all three pressure LEDs light up. Our guide to choosing massage gun RPM settings helps with speeds.
- Add heat by charging the Heated Head over USB-C and picking one of its three levels for tight backs, traps or hamstrings.
- Optional: pair it with the Hyperice App by Bluetooth for guided routines that set the speed for you.
Who should be careful
Hyperice advises checking with a doctor first if you're pregnant, wear a pacemaker, have diabetes with neuropathy, epilepsy, disc problems, recent surgery or injury, or metal pins or plates. Avoid bony areas, the head, spine, neck, inner groin, back of the knee, bruises and broken skin. Don't run it for more than an hour at a time or leave it charging overnight.
