These are great. I do a lot of running and I feel like these really help with recovery after a run. I also sit at a desk for long periods of time which can lead to pooling of blood and swollen feet. After using these compression boots I don't get that anymore (you will visibly notice the tendoms and veins on your feet more defined after use). I'm also using them in the evening while watching TV, very relaxing and definitely sleep better after use (I track sleep with smart watch).They compress the feet first, then calves, then thighs, then the pressure releases and then starts again in cycles. It's a very pleasant feeing. These are wireless so no wires hanging out, battery seems pretty good, I have had it on for 2.5 hours while watching TV on full pressure and battery was still going fine. The more expensive version has massage mode, so kind of regretting not getting that one. The standard ones seem amazing value for money, maybe try them at your local gym 1st if they have them. It's too early to see if they will end up in a the cupboard as a forgotten expensive gadget, but I really do feel like I will continue to use these due to the 3 benefits of sports recovery, vascular health and relaxation (my daughter also likes to use them). For men be careful to get the right size, if they are too long they will squeeze up into your groin, measure your inside leg carefully. (I got medium and they only just fit to my groin but any bigger would be very uncomfortable!)

This compression boot is wireless. It come swith a heavy unit on one leg that charges using a USB-C cable. The whole thing is quite heavy, weighting at close to 3kg so I won't keep carrying this around on foot.The machine is great and does what it says. It basically constructed by series of air bags that inflates in turns and squeeze your leg from bottom to top and repeat. There is only one mode, but you can adjust the intensity and the time during.In terms of performance, I could feel my legs soothed by the compression after sport. This will help to smash those lactic acid in muscles and help recovery. Very comfortable and relaxing using this when watching something on TV. Operation is very simple, pretty much just on and off.In terms of fitting, the medium size I ordered is good for someone bigger too. My husband who is 18st with legs of rugby players could just about fit inside and get the benefit. The construction in general is good, everything thick and stiff no flimsy parts.At the time of ordering this device the price is over £400. I have been looking around in Amazon, there are cheaper options that seems to do more around and therefore this is not five star from me purely on the value and lack of functions.
